Warm Wax Therapy - A Treat For Your Feet

If you suffer with dry skin, aching feet, arthritis, chilblains or Raynauds, then we have a treat for your feet. As an add-on to your Podiatry treatment at Round House Podiatry, we offer warm wax therapy treatment.

What is this treatment?

Well after we've completed your standard treatment we apply an oil to your feet, containing lavender, frankincense, myrrh, orange, bayleaf oil and sunflower oil. We follow this with a layer of molten warm wax which we brush gently onto the skin. Then we wrap your feet in boots to allow the heat from the wax to work it's magic.

What are the benefits?

As the heat helps to open the pores, the oil is absorbed into the skin allowing it to be deeply moisturised. This can be really helpful in conditions like scleroderma, dry skin conditions or for those with heavy calluses.

The heat from the wax also increases blood flow to the feet, helping to relax muscles and having an anti-inflammatory effect. There is an increase in pain tolerance and it provides relief to sore, aching joints. So if you suffer with arthritis in the feet, tendonitis, inflammation or stiff joints, then this is the treatment for you.

This treatment is also excellent for the winter months when the weather is colder and conditions like Raynauds and chilblains can affect the circulation to the digits.
