FAQs at Round House Podiatry!

We often get asked the same questions regularly in our clinic. So what are some of the FAQs for Round House Poduatry?

How do I get rid of a verruca?

We are asked this question all the time, and verrucae are one of the main reasons people come to see us. There is no simple one-size-fits-all answer to this question, but we do have lots of blogs on this subject, which you can read here!

Are my nails fungal?

Fungal nail infections are also one of the main reasons people come to Round House Podiatry. Discoloured, thickened or brittle nails can be concerning for people, and we’re happy to help and advise with these. Not all discoloured nails are fungal, so we can carry out a quick 5-minute test to find out if the issue is fungal or not. Then, we can draw up a treatment plan to help manage the problem, whatever it may be!

Do you offer late or weekend appointments?

Yes, we do! We are open alternate Saturdays and offer a late clinic until 7pm on Thursdays. Just be aware that these appointments are popular and always book up fast!

Do you treat diabetics?

Yes, of course! In fact, that is one of our areas of expertise. Both Anna and Nikki worked in the Diabetic Foot team in the NHS for many years. We regularly carry out vascular and neurological checks as standard in our appointments.

Do you stock any products to help my feet?

We stock various creams, gel toe supports, socks and antifungal treatments in clinic, and can advise which products would be best for your feet.

Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?

Yes of course. Children under 16 must always be accompanied by an adult. We have space for an accompanying person to sit, either in the clinic room, or in our waiting room. However, as our clinic space is fairly small, we do politely ask that the minimum number of people possible attend with you.

Why do you do what you do?

Because we love our job! It’s as simple as that. Podiatry is a really rewarding job, and we love helping people as much as we can.
